BETT 2014 Product Picks – Extron TeamWork 400i
This product was picked by our senior consultant Steve Mellish, who specializes in the education sector.
Collaboration appears to be one of the key buzzwords at this year’s BETT show and Extron TeamWork displays another way in which to get children working together in the classroom. It may not be wireless like many of the other products on show this week, but the TeamWork 400i allows four users to work simultaneously and share content privately amongst each other. This privacy and neat set up is also ideal for meeting rooms and unlike many cabling systems, Extron claim this system can work with nearly all furniture, devices and flat panels, making BYOD more possible. Each system contains four HDMI ‘Show Me’ cables, a switcher, a system controller, Cable Cubby (something we have reviewed previously here) and other system cables. For those still using VGA there is the option for a VGA kit available. The ‘Show Me’ cables allow the users to share content with ease and the system can be per-configured so you’re all set to go from the off.
