Cable Management Comparisons
After recently demoing Kramer’s K-Able and allowing a few of our customers to test it out, we have discovered its not the only cable management system available. Both Crestron and Extron have also perfected their simple retractors of a couple of years ago into more evolved systems, so Paragon have given you the lowdown on all three so you can decide. Ideal for any meeting room environment, whichever brand you pick is bound to keep your environment neat and quick to set up. We have brochures available for all these products if you would like more info, or feel free to contact us if you would like a hands-on demonstration.
Crestron’s latest product is a hidden solution for access to cables, connectors, power outlets and room control, which allows you to plug in and start presenting in seconds. The FlipBox can be integrated into tables or lecterns and can be configured with ease using an online tool, making the control and cable selection customizable. All common cabling and connection options for a meeting environment can be configured including HDMI, RJ45, DisplayPort, USC and RCA and is available with one or two dual AC power outlets for charging devices.
The small 5inch touch screen integrated into the FlipTops allows you to control your room at the touch of the button including climate, lighting AV and more at the touch of a button, thus organising your control system and cable management in one product. Cables are stored beneath the table at all times and the tapered, notched lid avoids cables crimping, even when closed. The product can come in a 3 or 4 cable configuration and the section under the table can be moved to any angle for more leg space where necessary.
Extron Cable Cubby
Extron’s cable management offering is available in two sizes and can be installed with or without a Touchlink panel. The Cable Cubby can be installed both vertically and horizontally and is available in an array of finishes to provide discreet access to cables. The TouchLink panel is a 3.5” touchscreen and offers information access regarding AV, data and power, with built in speakers for video previews. The product offers either nine or eleven adapter plate openings which can be populated by cables or retractors and as each Cubby is customizable to your needs, most connections are available.
