K-Array launch first flexible speaker
After visiting the ISE event earlier on in the year, it suddenly became apparent how much was launched regarding innovative audio-visual. Unfortunately we didn’t spot this slithering speaker in action but it’s definitely a concept worth keeping an eye on. Italian sound specialists K-Array lead the way in flexible speakers, with the first of its kind being the Anakonda KAN200.
The light and flexible form of the KAN200 makes it ideal for a near invisible sound system and can be wall mounted with included equipment. As is known with array speakers, the sound is dispersed better than from one standard speaker and has a wide frequency range. Despite its unconventional shape, the Anakonda has a standard speaker connectivity via speakon (NL4) connectors and one of the 2m long units can be connected to another (16 units is the limit!) so a total of 32 metres of sound can be achieved making it ideal for corporate events or tourist attractions such as theme parks. With an IP rating of 55, this means the speakers can be used safely in outdoor applications with a protection against dust and rain, however in serious dust situations, fabric socks are provided for extra protection.
With a continual need for keeping aesthetics both internally and externally, the Anakonda provides a problem solving solution without losing its volume. If you would like more information on this product, or other audio systems, please feel free to contact us.
